KONOKAN obtains, uses and discloses your personal information, by the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”) of the Republic of South Africa, and endeavours to comply to international laws on privacy and data, such as DPF (African Union), The Spam Act of 2003 (Australia), GDPR (EU), PECR (UK), ITA (India), PIPA (South Korea), APPI (Japan), CASL (Canada), CAN-SPAM Act and HIPAA (USA), CCPA (California).

3. KONOKAN collects and processes your personal information mainly to contact you to understand your requirements and deliver services accordingly. For this purpose, we will collect contact details including:

4. KONOKAN collects, stores and uses the above-mentioned information for the following purposes and only as long as necessary:
4.1. to communicate requested information to the User;
4.2. when explicitly authorised to do so by you, to send our newsletter, email marketing, and special offers; with the possibility to easily opt-out;
4.3. to compile non-personal statistical information about browsing habits, click patterns and access to the KONOKAN website.
5. Information detailed above is collected either electronically by using cookies or is provided voluntarily by the User. Users may determine cookie use independently through their browser settings.

7 KONOKAN owns and retains all rights to the non-personal statistical information collected and compiled by KONOKAN.
8 KONOKAN may disclose your personal information to our service providers who are involved in the delivery of products or services to you. We have agreements in place to ensure that they comply with the privacy requirements as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act;
8.1 When contracting with third parties, KONOKAN will impose appropriate security, privacy and confidentiality obligations on them to ensure that personal information that we remain responsible for, is kept secure.
8.2 KONOKAN will ensure that anyone to whom we pass your personal information agrees to treat your information with the same level of protection as we are obliged to.
9. KONOKAN is legally obliged to provide adequate protection for the personal information we hold and to stop unauthorised access and use of personal information. 10. You have the right to equal service and price, meaning that KONOKAN will not discriminate against you, if you choose to exercise your privacy rights.
11. This policy applies to our registered buyers (“Buyers”) and sellers (“Sellers”), those who purchase items on Konokan without an account (“Guests”), and anyone else who visits or uses our Website. If you are not a registered Member or if you are a Guest, you may have certain rights with respect to your data, under Data protection laws, including the right to access, rectify, port, and erase your information, as well as the right to restrict and object to certain processing of your personal information.
